Rhodia Webbie Tablets?

Rhodia Drive: Webbie Tablets

On June 8th Rhodia Drive posted a topic about Webbie Tablets, asking if anyone would be interested in Writing Tablets (similar to Rhodia pads or Clairefontaine Triomphe) with the 90g off-white paper currently used in Rhodia Webnotebooks.

This has been a popular request by my customers and just about anyone who uses Clairefontaine products! Currently, the only non-white paper that any of the Clairefontaine family of products have (at least in the US) is the paper used in the 90g Rhodia Webnotebooks, and the G. Lalo Vergé de France tablets (though this paper is really completely different than Clairefontaine paper). From doing polls on the Fountain Pen Network and talking to my cutsomers one-on-one, it seems that off-white paper is actually more popular than bright white paper, as least in the US.

I would LOVE to see more Clairefontaine products available in off-white. If you feel the same way, let me know. I have been passing up this information to Exaclair, the US importer of Clairefontaine products, and I even encourage you to talk to them as well! I know I would love to see more off-white Clairefontaine paper (especially Clairefontaine Triomphe), what would you like to see?

  1. Well, I started the thread on FPN about wanting Webbie tablets, and I commented on the Rhodia Drive blog, but what the hey, I'll keep shouting from the mountaintops! I'd really love to see a tablet, Webbie colored, with the Webbie ruling. I love the spacing of the lines, I love that they don't go all the way to the edge of the page, I love that they are thicker on the top (and on the bottom, I think?), and I love the paper color. Of course I love the paper quality, but that's no surprise.

Thanks for carrying these requests on!!!

  2. I'd think off-white paper is more popular here (Northern Europe) too - when it comes to personal use. My favourite combo would be the off white paper of the webbies, combined with the paper quality of the pads/notebooks! Thank you for highlighting this!
