First, a little history.... when Brian and I first started this business nearly six years ago (wow!), we didn't have the cash to carry everything that everyone wanted to buy. Special orders were a way that we could serve you by providing a product as an authorized dealer with our normal standard of service, without having to invest in stocking the full line. We were able to continue this for a while, but as team members changed and we got busier with regular orders, it became increasingly difficult to manage and coordinate across departments. Then when our inventory team completely turned over earlier this year, it was just too much, so we put special orders completely on hiatus. We wanted to make sure that we could offer the same level of service you've come to expect from us.
Now that we're a little more settled, we're ready to resume special orders for higher-end pens (generally those above $200). We're at a place where we can handle doing special orders on a limited basis for these pens, but we can't accommodate requests for notebooks or inks at this time. We're sorry about that inconvenience and hope you understand.
So if you're interested in a higher-end pen among the brands we offer (think Aurora, Cross, Delta, Montegrappa, Namiki, Omas, Parker, Pelikan, Platinum, Sheaffer, Waterman, etc), just shoot an email to email@example.com with what model, color, and nib size you're interested in. As long as it's available through our US distributor, we should be able to get it. I'm personally going to handle these special orders and will get you a price quote and walk you through the order process. Most of our products take about a week or two to arrive to us, then we'll ship it to you from there.
