Sneak Peek: Visconti Millenium Arc Moonlight & Rainbow Limited Editions

Hey fountain pen friends!

As you may know, we're now authorized Visconti retailers. It's been a goal of ours for several years now, and we're honored that this is finally happening. While we are working on getting some of the regular editions ready to list on our website in the upcoming weeks (specifically the Rembrandt, Van Gogh, and Homo Sapiens), we wanted to give you a sneak peek at something new...

Visconti proudly introduces the “Millennium Arc”  in 2 exciting new collections – Moonlight and Rainbow, a collection that represents a step forward in fountain pen design.

The “Millennium Arc Collection” is produced in four new colors – Sky blue, Burgundy, Forest green and the new multi colored Rainbow. Both the clip and the filling mechanism are arc shaped, symbolizing the merger of the arc of time with the arc of history - time in motion for 2000 years. The arc represents the continuity of time, from the past to the future. We know that without a past there can be no future, because nothing can be created, nothing can be destroyed, and what goes around comes around.

In the Moonlight collection, there are three swirly resin patterns - Burgundy, Green, and Sky Blue - all trimmed with palladium.

The Rainbow collection features seven colors of resin forming a beautiful rainbow... pretty self-explanatory! The double arch filler mimics the shape of the clip, both trimmed with palladium.

On both fountain pens, the nib is Visconti's patented Smartouch chromium tubular nib, which comes in sizes fine, medium, broad, and 1.3mm stub. Now you might be asking... what is a chromium tubular nib? Here's a brief explanation:
After extensive testing Visconti introduced the new Smartouch Tubular Nib. Its special shape is turned from a capillarity tube made of Chromium 18. The tube precisely wraps around the feed, resulting in a unique shape and allowing you to fill your pen without the need to dip the entire grip and nib section into ink. This results in a cleaner and more efficient fill and, due to the nib's uniquely positioned air hole and design, the nib will stay wet for longer before drying out.
Both editions feature a screw-on cap and an arc filler as the filling mechanism. To fill this pen, simply twist the ring on the barrel into the correct position, press down on the curved bar, and release. That action squeezes the internal rubber ink sac which will suck the ink up into the pen from your bottle.

We'll be carrying small quantities of these collections, and at a list price of $349, this is a really good deal. These pens will be available around the middle of October, and as a limited edition, it will likely go fast. There are only 200 made of each color worldwide.

What do you think of this collection?

Write On,
Rachel Goulet
