International Ink Drop Updates

As a follow-up to our blog post on shipping increases earlier this week, we have another small announcement. Because of the increase in price to USPS First-Class International rates this weekend, we have to raise our price for our international Ink Drop membership from $15 to $20 per month. We’ve been absorbing the increases over the last few years, but we just can’t anymore. We’re really sorry to our international friends!

All current international Ink Drop members have been personally reached out to, and the new price is now effective on our website for new subscribers going forward. Ink Drop sent within the US will remain at $10/month.

If you’re not familiar with Ink Drop, it is our monthly ink sample club that we started over five years ago. Each month we ship out 5 different 2ml ink samples, typically revolving around a theme (this month is Get Cozy, so we’ve featured some inks named after book authors, an ink with Flannel in the name, etc). It’s a monthly surprise in your mailbox, and a great way to try new ink colors/brands you may have not considered before.

The membership price includes shipping, and Ink Drop members also get 10% off all of the bottles featured that month (as well as the previous two months), as well as other select items like some Goulet goods, glass dip pens, and other rotating products that we choose. We’ve added a few more pens and notebooks in there now, and we’ll look to rotate those ongoing.

If you’re an Ink Drop member, what improvements to the club would you like to see, if any? And if you’re not a member, why not? We’d love to hear from you!

Write On,
Rachel & Brian Goulet

  • I can't do it anymore. After a full year it's just too expensive now, almost $30 for us Canadians. Almost $6 per sample is something I just can't justify.
