Can’t think of any celebs off the top of my head, but I have to say that I LOVE to see the pics that show up in the Goulet Pens blog!!! Always so colorful and so artfully laid out. Keep up the great work!!!

    • Lydia At Goulet Pens

Thanks, CJ! Glad you are enjoying them!

  • Tom Johnson

Like CJ, I can’t think of any celebrities that I would want to be a pen pal with. My pen pals of choice are pen and ink addicts! So much fun to share different pens, inks, and paper with such friends. Wow, what a lovely collection with amazing photos. My Eco is a favorite pen to write with. The Original Crown Mill Bi-Color stationary in green matches the Atelier Gargoyle Hunter Green wax perfectly! Someone has become a master at making seals by these examples. I follow Brian’s video instructions and it works great, though I don’t get them as perfect as those shown here. Another fabulous Thursday Things. Thanks.

    • Lydia At Goulet Pens

Thanks, Tom. Sarah has had lot of practice. Haha.

I can’t honestly say that I would want to be a pen pal with any celebrity. Unless of course Goulet Pen Co. employees or Brian Gray are considered celebrities (and they are in my opinion!). I agree with Tom Johnson as to whom I would wish to be pen pals with. Another great Thursday Things! I have a Yoption (I think that’s the brand) brass stamp and wax. Not the best wax out there by any means. Atelier Gargoyle is the best I’ve used. I will be getting the round J. Herbin stamps of my initials sometime. Maybe even a whole collection! I like that Eco! I’ll get a TWSBI Classic Mini first, but then, here I come Eco! I don’t often consider white pens, but that one is spot on!

    • Lydia At Goulet Pens

Sounds like some exciting plan on the horizon, David! Hope you love the Classic Mini đŸ™‚

    • Tom Johnson

David, I love both Atelier Gargoyle and J. Herbin waxes, they are great. You can practice making seals by doing it on non-stick aluminum foil. The seal can be removed and the wax reused again, so you don’t waste the wax. I found a single intaglio cut stone cuff link on eBay that makes a great seal! But, I love the J. Herbin seal handle and have two initial seals from them. By the way, you might want to search out my review on Goulet of the Sapphire Flake Edison Beaumont pen for something interesting at the end of the review.

      • David L.

Thanks for the tip, Tom! I’ll find your review. Thanks!

Sorry stranger, but I don’t have an FPN account. đŸ™‚ Do you have to pay for one?

        • Tom Johnson

No, totally free. You never get an email unless you want to get updated on a posting you are interested in. You don’t give FPN any personal info beyond your email address and you chose your user name. No rules, log on only when you feel like it.

            Sounds great! Thanks!

Another beautiful Thursday Things! As always, the lay out and photography are perfect. I love the sealing waxes, so colorful and so well made. I’m still practicing mine; they are good sometimes, and not other times! Celebrity pen pals? That’s a tough one. My “celebrities” are not the folks gracing the covers of the glossy gossip magazines. I keep in touch with my fountain pen pals, of course. I’m very interested in underwater photography, so I’d love to keep in touch with David Doubilet, Marty Snyderman and Cathy Church, and the younger generation of u/w photographers like Lazaro Ruda. Pope Francis would be a fascinating pen pal, too. Interesting question!

    • David L.

I agree. The Holy Father would be a good pen pal!

      • Kathy

The Holy Father is such an interesting and inspiring person. I’d love it. The closest I can come is reading his various writings, but it seems he is often speaking to me!

  • Teresa

No celebrities for me, but I do love to write and share pen and ink drawings with my dearest friends. Keep the ink flowing friends. Enjoy your day.

  • Bethany

I don’t have a specific one in mind, but I would love to have a songwriter as a pen pal. I’m really interested in people’s writing process (since I love to write), and I love music but know almost nothing about writing songs, so I think it would be amazing to hear from someone about the songs they were working on as they were writing them, and then later hear the finished songs.

    • Lydia At Goulet Pens

Oh wow! What an interesting thought, Bethany! I love it!

  • Brittany Jenkins

I used to write to my favorite athletes as a kid. I still have some of their responses. I think it would be neat to be pen pals with Neil Degrasse Tyson or Bill Nye though!
