We’re thrilled to introduce a new product line from Pilot: the Metallic Vanishing Point. This collection of five metallic body colors are a bright deviation from the cool muted colors of the existing line.

The popular Pilot Vanishing Point fountain pens already come in a pretty good range of colors, but Pilot’s really stepped up their game with the new Metallic colors. The five metallic colors include: Copper Red, Desert Orange, Mountain Blue, Tropical Purple, and Valley Green.

In this video, I show:

  • Showcasing each of the 5 colors (0:34)
  • Comparison to several other VP’s (like the pink LE from 2011) (1:40)
  • Showing inks that match each color pen (4:04)
  • Comparing the Desert Orange to an orange Rhodia pad (5:10)

The Metallic VP comes with matte black trim and a matching retractable black 18k nib, in nib sizes extra-fine, fine, medium, or broad.

What do you think? Are you as excited as we are? What color is your favorite?

Update as of 2018: These Metallic colors are no longer available. We still offer a wide range of Pilot Vanishing Point colors on our site.
