For the past several hundred-ish years, the classic tale of “Jack and the Beanstalk” has branched out through literature, movies, pop culture and more. Its roots are a bit of a tangled mess; it began appearing in books in the 18th century but was apparently shared around the fire eons earlier.

Here, Sarah from our Media Team brushes up on her fairytales with this timely interpretation of the famous beanstalk story. With her Noodler’s Konrad Brush Pen Clear, Sarah is able to create the familiar winding and twisting stalk fancied by Jack and the Giant. The J. Herbin Vert Empire ink makes for some jolly green shading.

It all serves as a nice seasonal reminder. As we once again pluck dandelions and prune trees sitting among our dutifully manicured lawns, it could be worse. Much worse. We could be swinging an axe at some epically huge vegetation in what would look like a bizarre CrossFit ritual. Geez, that was one dark fairytale…

The Noodler’s Konrad Brush Pen Clear is available on for $20.

J. Herbin Vert Empire is available in a 20ml bottle for $12 or as an  2ml ink sample for $1.50.
