My favorite streamlined pen is the Caran d’Ache 849, followed by the Lamy Studio, proving you don’t have to spend a lot of money to be high tech.

I’d go for Caran d”Ache Infinite Gray, or even J Herbin Stormy Gray as the ink.

Match them up with a Rhodia Webnotebook in Silver, and you’re all set.

My favorite streamlined pens are my Lamy 2000 pens. Even though nearly 52 years in production, they look super modern to me. I think the new Lamy Aion pens are great examples too. Other Lamy’s: Logo, CP1, Dialog 3, and Studio. I vote for the Caran d’Ache 849 too, like Aquaria. And the Pilot Vanishing Point, especially in a black finish.

We had to rearrange the schedule a bit to accommodate the Merlot launch 😉 Glad you loved it. Great streamlined pen picks. I agree.

Can I ask you what size nibs you have for your Lamy 2000’s? Do you find they write true to size? In some reviews I’ve read that they’re wet writers so a fine writes more like a medium. Others say a fine is truly a fine.

I agree with Tom. The Lamy 2000 is definitely my favorite streamlined pen. The Monteverde Invincia is also a phenomenal pen.

Thanks for doing this every week! I often look back throughout the week just to look at the amazing photography (photography is another hobby of mine).

My favorite streamlined pens are the Pilot Elite pocket pens. Love all of them, including the current e95s. I wish the e95s came in silver trim, but most of all I wish Pilot would revive the crosshatched Pilot Elite! Pretty please. #1 pen wish of all time.

Zeeman, I forgot about the e95s, I love mine and it is a great streamline pen, fits well in this Thursday Things as you say.

Another great Thursday Things!! I think the Lamy Aion, Lamy 2000, and Pilot E95S all look like great streamlined pens. If I had to pick the top one, it would be the Lamy 2000, which is on my someday wish list.
