**WINNER: Congrats to Vanida K. (Entered on the blog). Check back next week for another awesome Monday Matchup Giveaway**

Margaret here with today’s Monday Matchup! I love TWSBI fountain pens, so I got the chance to ink up with the new TWSBI Precision with a Medium nib with Diamine Wild Strawberry. Here’s what I thought…

I was stumped on what to draw so I got my inspiration from the name of the ink. I starting by looking up drawings of strawberries and found this cute phrase “I love you berry berry much” and decided to write that out. I need to find some note cards with that on the front because I would love to send those notes to some friends. I drew the outline of the strawberry and used a waterbrush pen to lay the ink down. Once it dried, I went back in and used the TWSBI to add the seeds. Then I broke the unofficial Monday Matchup rule and used another color in my drawing! I had Monteverde California Teal inked up in my TWSBI 580 so I used that to add the green color of the leaves.

While my TWSBI Eco is my favorite daily carry pen, I was not a personal fan of the Precision. I love that TWSBI has introduced a totally different pen to their line up though. It’s similar to the Classic design, but it still is unique from anything else that they offer. The nib was smooth and flowed well, but one thing to note was that the texture of the grip allowed for some of the ink to stain while I was filling the pen. It did wipe off with water. I think I prefer my Eco because I can see my ink level, and I couldn’t do that with the Precision. The shape just wasn’t for me. The ink was fantastic! I loved the Wild Strawberry color and could see it being great for art, notes, or even grading if you’re a teacher!

You could win this pen and ink! In an effort to make entering Monday Matchup a little easier, we’ve done away with the Rafflecopter widget and will be randomly selecting a winner from a randomly chosen platform each week. • Match a pen and ink together. They don’t have to match in color, any fountain pen, and ink works.
  • You can choose to enter only one way or submit up to 4 different entries if you’d like. Feel free to use the same picture for all 4 entries.
  • Here’s how to enter:
