In this video, I compare the Moleskine Ruled Notebook with the Rhodia Webnotebook. The Moleskine is off-white paper, with a 72g thickness. It’s printed and bound in China (outsourced), assembled in Italy. It has 120 sheets of paper, ruled. The performance of the paper when tested with Herbin fountain pen ink (a generally well-behaved ink) is entirely underwhelming.

The Webnotebook (Webbie) has ivory paper, slightly darker than the Moleskine. It has 96 sheets of 90g Clairefontaine paper made in France. The sizes of the Webbie and Moleskine are very similar, with the Webbie being about 1/2″ wider. the Webbie paper performs miles ahead of the Moleskine, with no feathering at all, and no bleedthrough even with the wetter writing pens.
