Colorverse Andromeda: Ink Review

A review of Colorverse Andromeda ink

Hi there, Kelsi here with a new great ink to take a closer look at! We just recently started carrying Colorverse inks, so I was excited to test one and learn more about them. Andromeda is a really lovely magenta color that I thoroughly enjoyed writing with! Read on to learn why.

Supplies Used:

Smear Test (Dry Time):

  • More than 30 seconds– The ink was still smearing at 30 seconds, so the total dry time was likely 35-40 seconds.

Drip Test (Water Resistance):

  • Low – The ink completely smeared and you couldn’t see the line when the water was applied.

Saturation:

  • Medium – There was some difference between swab 1 & 2, but not much between 2 & 3.

Ease of Cleaning:

  • Medium – The saturation of the ink made it slightly hard to rinse out, but I still only needed to flush the pen with a bulb syringe for about 30 seconds and it was totally clean.

Shading:

  • Low – The ink didn’t show much shading or variation.

Flow:

  • Wet – This ink flowed really nicely out of my nib and looked fairly wet and shiny for a bit.

Packaging and Aesthetics:

  • These Colorverse inks come in a cute little set that includes a larger 65ml bottle with a small 15ml bottle. I also really enjoy the design of the bottles themselves. The bottles are asymmetrical, which I feel like fits the space theme of the inks well- almost futuristic in a way.

Summary:
This was such a nice, rich color to write with! I felt like the ink really popped off the page and the flow was great. It even had some gold sheen when I did the swab and ink splatter! Overall, I’m a huge fan, and I think anyone who enjoys inks in the pink/purple family would be as well.

You can find a set of a 65ml bottle and 15ml of Colorverse Andromeda at GouletPens.com for $36, or a 2ml sample is also available for $2.00.
