I really enjoyed this. Took me out of my comfort zone and was a lot of fun. The surprise is nice.
Great way to find ink colors you never knew you loved.
I bought 5 packs of these at once and got no duplicates (i’m not sure if that was on purpose, if it wasn’t cool and if it was then that is so sweet of them) i got so many cool colors that i would have been scared to try on my own like pinks, purples, oranges, and shimmer inks.
i ended up with 10 different brands (11 if you separate Herbin and Herbin 1798) the brands with the most samples were Sailor, Diamine, and Noodlers. the least were Wearingeul, Pelican Edelstein, and Pilot Iroshizuku. i also got De Atramentis (which i’ve been meaning to try), Monteverde, and Robert Oster. (Inks divided by brand in the picture, the left ones and the one in the holder are sailor, then L->R: Diamine, De Atramentis, Noodlers, Jacques Herbin, Monteverde, Wearingeul, Robert Oster, Pelican Edelstein, Pilot Itoshizuku)
I also got plenty of blues, grays, and blacks so i’m hoping to find some good daily driver inks
Why did i buy 40 ink samples? Do i recommend doing that? I never have a birthday or christmas list and i figured if i can find a few inks that i really like then i have lists for life. totally recommend it!
Threw one onto my order because, why not? Comes in a convenient little tube, and is a nice amount of ink for experimentation!
